OMgosh, just realized that this never posted last Monday!! Here I was so busy planning the darn event and then enjoying it this weekend that I never even looked at my blog. Well the post was written so it's gonna be published by golly. By the way, I think the event turned out great and I'll have lots to share...right after I sleep for the next week!!
Last week, or maybe even the week before, I forget, I was talking about how I'm spinning in circles with lots of things on the horizon.
Well one of those things is happening this week!!
I have FINALLY had my hope of creating a Delaware blogging event happen. Through the power of Twitter I was able to connect with @VisitSouthDel who saw my tweet begging for local businesses to allow me to use my social media connections to promote them.
As you may, or maybe not, know last spring I started a hyper-local blog, Delaware Beach Families. I have enjoyed blogging there and sharing tips and tricks to "surviving the sandcastles" {that was actually the blogs name until I switched it a few months ago}. The blog focuses on providing families with a guide to all that Delaware has to offer. I talk about where to eat, where to stay, and of course, where to play! Part of my business plan was to bring social media moms to my beaches so they could experience the area and local businesses and then bring their families back for vacations.
Well this Friday, my dream is coming true. I get to play hostess to 16 social media "power" mommybloggers. The Bellmoor Inn is hosting us for the night and we get to enjoy some spa services Friday afternoon. Then it's dinner at Dogfish Head Brewery, one of my favorite family restaurants in Rehoboth. After dinner, we're off to the Movies at Midway where we get to hang out in a private screening room and enjoy a dessert tray provided by The Point Coffeehouse. On Saturday, we'll enjoy the complimentary breakfast at The Bellmoor and then walk down Rehoboth Avenue to visit some local businesses. Cake Break, Browseabout, and Nicola's are sure to be on our list since they provided us with some SWAG for our bags!
After a morning of shopping in town, we will then be off to the outlets...Tanger Outlets where we get some goodies and tax free shopping!
I can't wait to hang out with the fabulous social media moms who will be attending: Sarah and Shannon owners of Chester County Moms, Megan, Stephanie, Sarah, Sierra, Rebecca, Jennifer, Erica, Tina, Sheila, Chrissy, Julie, Karen, and Jacqui.
Is that a fun group of mom bloggers or what??

I'm hoping to get some posts that I've had in the works finally published, but between Delaware Beach Bloggin, that full time teacher job I have, and of course the whole mommy and wife thing, not sure I'll get there.
No worries though.
I'll be back in full swing by next week after my girlfriend weekend of spas, cocktails, dinners out, movies, and shopping!!
