Is it time to go back to work yet?

You all know how much I love my weekends. It pretty much ranks right up there with an ice cream cone covered in sprinkles (which I will be begging hubby to go get with me tonight!!)

However, this weekend is so jammed pack that I'm not so sure I won't be thankful when it is Monday and I go back to work. Well okay probably not.

Our busy weekend kick off actually started early on Friday.
Yesterday, Dylan had a field trip at school so Dave took off to chaperon the trip. This meant that by 6:30 in the morning we all had to be showered, dressed, have eaten breakfast and in the car for our regular 45 minute drive to school. Oh and of course it was Zoe's Trike-A-Thon at school which meant we also had to have her bike and helmet in the car. I did think ahead and the night before had everything by the front door, my lunch packed, and the coffee set. It actually wasn't anywhere near as bad as I thought it would be getting out. I had about 4 minutes to spare before the bell rang at school!!
As soon as the dismissal bell rang then it was a race to the car and on our way to Philly. Mom Central and Feld Entertainment treated some Philadelphia Mommy Bloggers to a trip to the circus with some rockin perks. Oh my goodness, we were treated like royalty and the kids soaked every last bit of it in. I have so much to tell you about our experience and of course lots of pictures to share so look for that post coming soon. Don't forget though that the circus is in Philly until May 25th and thanks to Mom Central you can get a family 4-pack of tickets for just $44, with the coupon code MOM.

Of course a trip to Philly meant a late night coming home. We got home around midnight although I really couldn't tell you the exact time as I was snoring in the car. Poor Dave had to drive home awake by himself as the kids and I both crashed as soon as we were on 95, then again maybe he wasn't so poor. Then today the kids and I walked in our local March of Dimes walk with Shannan and her son and my friend Denise. Shannan made us our matching Maddie T-shirts, which reminded us exactly why we were out there walking. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and a lovely walk. Thank you to all my blogger/twitter/IRL friends who sponsored us. We set the goal of $250 and currently have raised $275. WAHOO!! Of course it is never to late to donate to the March of Dimes so feel free to click on the badge over there in my sidebar to make your donation.

After our walk we grabbed lunch at McDonalds and then it was back into our normal Saturday routine of laundry and cleaning. I have to confess that I grabbed a short snooze while the kids were cleaning their rooms. We did make it to swimming lessons too. I'm thinking tonight will be a great night to head to the boardwalk for an ice cream and then early bedtime.
Tomorrow the business continues as I'm registered to run my 2nd 5K race in the morning. It's amazing how much calmer I feel about this race than my first 5K. I went into the last race just telling myself to finish it, but this time I find myself saying to finish faster. I would love to be able to run it in under 40 minutes. Zoe also has her dance pictures in the afternoon and I suppose I will have to make time to finish all the weekend cleanup stuff and prepare for the week too.

12 more student days of school!!!!
