Water, Water, Everywhere

Looking for something new to do, because face it summer vacation is coming to an end, I decided to pack the kids up and head to a local waterpark for the day. With living in a tourist area there are a few waterparks to choose from, but as I was looking at some local discounts I receive with my teachers card I found one that had a coupon for Buy One Get One 50%. Basically, the kids and I could go to this water park for the cost of one ticket at another one. I bet you will never guess which we chose!

So we packed the towels, grabbed the sunscreen and were off. If you didn't know by now, both of my kids are water babies and I am a pool person. One day in my dream home there will be a pool! This waterpark is nice because they have a kiddie pool for Zoe, an Olympic pool where we can all swim, a lazy river where you float in tubes, three body slides that Dylan loved, and three slides you can take tubes down. But, it is all contained in a relatively small area so I could sit centrally and watch Zoe swim while Dylan rode the slides. We picked a great day too as the sun was shining, there was a nice breeze, and no crowds. No lines means happy kids and therefore a very happy mommy.

We had a blast lounging by the pool, doing some slides, and swimming together. I was even able to read a couple pages from a book while watching the kids play with some new friends.

Here are some of my fave pictures from the day!

Zoe and Mommy being mermaids.

Here I come.
Dylan accomplishing his first handstand.

Jump on in. The water feels fine.

Nothing better than being lazy and floating in a river.

Zoe relaxing in the pool.

Raise your hands if you want to get wet.

Mmm. An waterpark lunch. Pizza, chicken fingers, nachos, and a large lemonade.

Nothing beats an ice cream treat in the afternoon after you've been playing so hard.

Splish, splash, Zoe plays in the water

Love those kids.

Summer Vacation Rocks!!!

  1. Oh, that looks like such fun! I would bet my children would love it. I am worried about my son unattended, though, and no way am I going to do the water slides. Last time, years ago, I hurt myself and hurt my plumbing as water went places it was never supposed to go. It worries me.

    The pictures are great, Mel.
