Memorial Day Fun

As the school year comes to a close and summer evenings are here, I have been a little slow on posting some happenings. For memorial weekend I had the nice 3 day weekend so here is how we spent it...

Saturday morning began bright and early as we headed to the soccer field to watch Dyl. Of course nothing changed with our losing streak, but he is getting better. He absolutely loves to play soccer and I absolutely love being a soccer mom!!

After soccer, we made our Saturday lunch stop at McDonald's and went home to change before heading to a birthday party, however this happened before we got there...

Of course I did not have a clue how I was going to get the mammoth of a tire changed so called Dave panicking. He finally said he would leave work and come change it for me. Keep in mind that my husband works at a boating store on Memorial weekend in our beach resort town...I am sure his boss was less than thrilled (although thankfully it is a family company so they are very understanding about family incidents). The great thing was that even though it took him close to a half hour to get to us the kids were great and took advantage of the shady bush next to the car...

We finally did make it to the birthday party and everybody had a great time, especially the girls bahaing around the yard in their Jeep...Happy Birthday Kylie girl!!

On Sunday, it was our first beach day of the year, complete with beach fries and chicken tenders. There was a cool breeze, but that didn't stop Dylan and Zoe!

Over the weekend we had friends camping in Ocean City so we spent some time with them. On Monday we drove to Rehoboth to meet them for lunch at McDonald's so the kids could play. The kids and I then did a little shopping and spent a quiet afternoon at home. It was a great weekend and really put me in the mood for summer!! I did not want to get up and go to school the next morning, that is for sure!!!
