Back in Time

Dave and I had a wonderful 10th anniversary celebration over the weekend. Friday night my inlaws watched the kids while we went out for a yummy dinner and saw Harry Potter, which we have been wanting to do since it came out. It was nice to get dressed up, have adult conversation at dinner, and then go to the movies to see something not rated G. We both enjoyed Harry Potter by the way and can't wait for the next one.

Then on Saturday my dad and brother stayed at our house and watched the kiddos while we went back to the place where we were married.

We lucked out because we know somebody who has a house in the little town and allowed us to spend the night there for our anniversary. Isn't this the cutest street?

Saturday night we enjoyed steamed crabs, hush puppies, crab dip, and corn on the cob (had to get in some veggie) on a pier. The food was good,

the view spectacular,

and the company amazing!! I set up the timer on my camera to get this shot on our way home from dinner.

Sunday we had breakfast at my fave breakfast spot and then meandered around town checking out all the old houses. On our tour we came across this picture moment. I was quite the catch, you know!

We made our way to the Maritime Museum where we were married, but decided against paying the $26 to get into take a picture on "our" pier. Yes, we actually were married on the end of a pier at the Maritime Museum. It was gorgeous! We tied bright white ropes along the pilings in attempt to contain our guests and lined chairs down the sides. At the end we had a trellis with flowers and tulle wrapped around it. As the ceremony progressed we had additional guests attend as they watched from the boats. My favorite part of the entire ceremony was when after the minister pronounced us some of the boats honked their horns. It was awesome!!

Anyways, like I said we skipped paying the fee to take a picture, but I snapped this shot from over the fence. The deck on the building was where we danced and the far pier with the sailboats tied up and the boat at the end was "our" pier.

I tried to find actual wedding photos to share with you all, but I can't find my albums. I have no idea where they are! I remember packing them up awhile ago when I was dreaming of putting my house on the market, but now I don't know where I put them.

We had a beautiful time in St. Michaels and it was wonderful to go back in time and remember back when. Of course it was also wonderful to come back to our house at the beach and see our two beautiful kids who are probably our biggest accomplishments over the years.

It's unbelievable how fast 10 years have gone by and I can't wait to see what is going to happen in the next 10!
