Two pounds. That makes my total amount lost so far for Weight Watchers Lose for Good Campaign is 6 pounds. According to my facebook widget my loss is allowing a child to eat for 26 days. Go me!! Losing weight and feeding others. I love it!
I haven't lost this much in one week since...I can't remember when! I did count every point this week and stayed very close to my range. Still not perfect, but getting better each week. As far as exercise...well not so good. Other than last Sunday night my feet never touched the treadmill. Didn't I mention I worked late every day? I know I shouldn't make excuses and I should have just sleepwalked, but instead I made the poor choice to go to bed by 8:30 every night. Friday night the whole family went for a bike ride, which was probably the highlight of my week. I enjoyed riding around the neighborhood and exercising with the kids. Zoe wanted to ride in her seat on my bike rather than on her own so I also got a pretty good workout riding her around with me. My legs definitely burned and it was a great feeling.
A couple weeks ago I had an email from a reader, Dorilynn, who suggested I add some before and after pix along with a weight graph. I am still working on the graph thing, but thought I'd go ahead and put up a before and after picture. If anything this can inspire me to keep chugging along for this last 16 pounds.
Before (Nov. 2006)
After (Sept. 2008)
WOW! I can actually see a difference. Sometimes I struggle with not being able to see the difference in myself. I KNOW I'm thinner, I KNOW I'm healthier, I KNOW my butt wouldn't have fit into that size 8 dress before, but still I feel like I can't SEE it. Angie over at Biggest Loser Blog Edition also challenged us to take before pictures so we could compare at the end of our journey. I wish now that I took an actual "before" picture because honestly the picture above took quite some searching to find. I can't find any where I am just standing so you can truly see what I looked like.
So now for this week's goals:
- Continue counting everything and stay completely within my point range
- EXERCISE!!
WEEK 9 (TAKE 2) / -2 / -6 / -39 since Jan. 2007
You look great!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your loss. You look great!
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a fabulous job! We all know that there are no overnight weight loss miracles. It takes a lot of work and you are doing it and starting to see the results. Way to go!!
ReplyDeleteWow you look awesome, congrats!
ReplyDeleteLook at you! Wow - you are looking great. I love the idea of a before picture - it is hard to notice the difference. We see ourselves everyday and so the little changes just don't stand out.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had such a good week. You really are inspiring me to stick with it :O)
Wow! 2 pounds is great!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWay to go!!
I know - it's difficult to picture yourself 'smaller' even when you realize you wear smaller clothes and the scale gives you smaller numbers... Don't know why that is...
Great work this week!! You look fabulous!!! :)
You give me hope- I just started Weight Watchers today! Hopefully I will get results like you! You look great!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat week and amazing overall results. Definitely a difference between the two pictures. And I would say you definitely made the right choice by getting some extra sleep. The studies do say that lack of sleep leads to extra eating!!!
