Scale Fail

I've decided that Fridays are going to be my weigh in days.  For some reason at the end of the week, my scale seems to like me the most.  Although this week it didn't seem to like me hardly at all as I was down a whole .4lbs according to my Friday weigh in.  However if you took my Sunday weigh in {yes, I weigh myself almost daily to see how my weight fluctuates} I would be up 2lbs.  2lbs!  And while I did go out to eat on Friday night and Saturday night, I made relatively good choices and didn't go too far over my calorie goals.  Anyways, .4 and we shall see what this week brings.

On the exercise front, I am up to Day 22 of 30 Day Shred.  I began level 3 on Saturday and when I started the dvd, realized that I have never made it this far before.  Since the routines were all new, the workout goes quickly as I'm trying to learn the new moves.  I admit that I had to do all beginner the first day, and half beginner of some of the moves on the second day.  Boy oh boy was I sweating by the time it was over.  I definitely felt the workout in places I had not before from level 1 and 2.

I can't believe I'm going to say it, but I'm actually enjoying working out.  I enjoy the routine. I'm slowly enjoying the idea of sweating it out.  I definitely enjoy the feeling I get when it's all over!

I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do next since I only have a day more than a week until I'm finished with shredding.  I was considering another Jillian tape, but then I've been looking into the KettleWorx program too.  Any of you use it?  Know anybody who has?  I like that it is the same 20 minute routine although I don't like the 3 days a week.  I'm wondering if I could use it for 5 or if I should maybe mix it up with a Jillian dvd to get in my 5.  Then again I would like to get back to running again too.  My only problem with running is that I hate to do it in the dark and since the treadmill is in my room, I can't exactly run in the morning and wake up the whole house that early.  What to do? What to do?

I must say that I'm getting pretty frustrated with what I'm seeing on my scale.  It just doesn't seem to budge or if it does it's only a wee little bit when I'm exercising diligently, tracking my food, and pretty much staying in my calorie range.  If I'm really honest I would have to say that it has to be my calorie intake.  My goal on My Fitness Pal is 1260, determined by the program after I entered some info.  Then I usually earn about 240 for my workout.  I do find that most days I use those earned calories, but stay under my calorie goal that includes them.  I'm wondering if I need to give that up?  I truly haven't stayed under my 1260 goal except maybe a couple times.  Most of the times I'm right around 1400.  I'm going to set this as my goal for this week and then we will see what happens this Friday.

WEEKLY GOAL: Keep tracking and don't eat calories earned from exercising, 5 days of 30 Day Shred before school, and drink my water!
BIG GOAL: 20lbs by Christmas
