What happens when you tease your little sister and she finally has enough?
Yep, that would be Zoe's handprint on Dylan's back.
Don't mess with lil sis!
Sidenote: Of course she was reprimanded for hitting her brother because we don't condone violence as a way to deal with anger, but let it be known that brother didn't dare go near her again for quite awhile!!
Kind of brought back memories of the time I went after my brother with a broomstick and gave him a bloody nose. Oh the love shown between siblings!
Bwahaha...I totally remember letting loose on my older brother when I'd had enough! Kids are funny :)
ReplyDeleteBeen there, did that myself a few times waaaay back in the day, lol.
ReplyDeleteAnd I had to smile--bloggers will photograph ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING!! We get twitchy if the camera's not around, huh?
:)
At least you know she'll stick up for herself!
ReplyDeleteYay Zoe. Now to find a better way to deal with that anger.
ReplyDeleteI worry cuz DD won't stand up for herself except to dh & I. I just pray that some silly boy doesn't take advantage of that. :( Or I may have to open up a can of whoopas on him!
That doesn't look too bad. One time I drew blood when I bit a pesky boy who wouldn't leave me alone. It's amazing the strength a poor, defenseless little girl will find when pushed beyond her limits.
ReplyDeleteSo not acceptable yet at the same time you're kind of cheering on the inside, right? ;)
That's hilarious! I mean...uhhh sorry that didn't turn out so well.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I remember using as a weapon was the bottom of my snowboot.
Okay, I think what she did was commendable. No, she shouldn't have hit; but did he get in trouble for pushing her to the breaking point? I'm just saying that for me, he would have been reprimanded for pushing her that far.
ReplyDeleteShe would have been spoken to about hitting isn't the answer and "what are some other ways to deal with this anger do you think that would have been better?" But that would be it.
Yes, she needs to be held accountable for her actions, but so does he.
Hey... a girl has to know how to take care of herself! LOL
ReplyDeleteNo mom ever condones violence. However, there's nothing that fills your with pride and hurt all at the same time is when they are called upon to defend themselves! That's when you dip into your box of chocolates! Beautiful blog!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was about 9, my sister (who was 3), gave me a bloody nose with her sippy cup because I was teasing her.
ReplyDeleteI have to love this just because i have 2 ruff and rowdy boys who fight all the time. Their new hobby...
