Last weekend Dave's aunt came down for a long weekend and since my Mom-in-law was going to be gone one day we got her all to ourselves. It was a beautiful day...with bright blue skies, low humidity, and a perfect temperature. We decided to spend a few hours at a local zoo starting with a picnic at the park.
The kids had a blast sharing their french fries with the "starving" geese. They were very aggressive geese when it came to their food. Aunt Steph even had her bottom nipped because we weren't giving the food out quick enough.
After lunch, we walked in the zoo. We saw bears, beavers, alligators, and the cutest wolf pups ever!
After our walk around the zoo the kids were still going so we took some time to play in the playground right outside the zoo entrance.
The kids and I had a blast playing with the funhouse mirrors.
A perfect day and a great way to begin saying goodbye to our summer vacation!!

ReplyDeleteFUN! Scary geese though...we have seagulls by my moms that love to eat your food and crap on your head as they fly away! BEASTS!
