Dinner and Ice Cream

A couple nights ago Dave's parents offered to babysit as a belated anniversary gift. Of course we are never one to miss a chance at free sitting so we decided to do dinner with some friends. Here we are ...
What's that you say? You can't see my shoes? Oh my gosh, they are one of my favorite pairs. Here's a close up.
Isn't the detail of the flower carved on the heel so cool?

Sorry, back to the date. We went to a local seafood place that never ceases to have awesome food. We started with some nachos that were piled high with lots of good stuff and crab. I could definitely have had that for dinner. Instead for dinner, Dave enjoyed some Mahi with crab salsa that was delicious and I had some scallops in a rich cream sauce that perfectly complemented them. Both of our friends had the crabcakes which were thicker than any crab cake I have ever seen. Yum. My mouth is watering just remembering it. Oh and the Mojito and Sangria was awesome too!

The best thing about the night? Check this out.

Aren't they the cutest things you have ever seen? No not the people. The ice cream cones. They were baby cones and were absolutely perfect for after dinner.

Date nights are so much fun! I wonder when we can schedule another one?

What about you? Do you and your significant other schedule regular date nights? What is your "perfect" date night? Come on. Spill!!

  6. Date night? What is this thing you speak of?

And if Honey and I did manage to arrange babysitting to go out just the two of us I have no idea what we would do other than go to a restaurant.

  10. Cute shoes. Date night? Sushi and cosmos at our favorite restaurant Nectar, or a concert. Either or.

  11. Yes, they are really cute! And NO, we don't have a date night. Never really have, but I think we're fine despite it all.

    Looks like you had fun.

  12. We are so overdue for a date night! My dh thought we should get a sitter and go see the new Batman movie together, but I just rolled my eyes. I think a nice date would be to go out to a dairy and eat ice cream, mini-cones preferred of course! They are really cute!
Thank you for visiting our site last week. We hope you have a great weekend!
