The kids and I ran away for a few days to visit my brother and his family in North Carolina. My brother is being deployed this week so we wanted to visit with him and we also wanted to love on my new nephew. Meet Danny Jr.!!
The cousins love spending time together. It was almost 70 degrees on Monday and there was SUN so we took the opportunity to go for a walk around the neighborhood.
My sis-in-law being the oh so smart momma that she is had bought some dollar tree gifts so Sophia could open a few presents while she waited for Christmas and Sunday's treat was play dough. The girls had fun sculpting the night away.
Tell me that my niece is not the most gorgeous little gal ever...just look at those blue eyes!
It was nice to get away and spend some time with family. My wish is that one day we can live closer so we can visit more often, but until then I'm just counting down the days till we can be together again in a few weeks.
Looks like a good visit Mel. I'll keep your brother and family in my prayers during his deployment.
ReplyDeleteHe is such a cute lil baby!! Look at all that HAIR!
ReplyDeletelove the pictures! We will be praying for your brother here also!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how much we have in common...my brother-in-law and sister-in-law also live in North Carolina :) and he is in the Army, but he just got back from Iraq. We will keep him very close to our hearts in prayer (and his family, as well) during his deployment. I will say, I have 2 beautiful nieces...we have have to have a beauty contest :)
ReplyDeleteI have a nephew to snuggle when I go home to VA after Christmas, so I know JUST how you feel!
ReplyDeleteWill keep your brother in my thoughts and prayers. That's so hard on a family.
