Happy 4th of July!
We actually kicked off a weekend celebration yesterday by attending the local 4th of July parade on the 3rd (don't ask!) with grandma.
Then headed to a pool party where Zoe had a blast hanging out with her girlfriends. No pictures of Dylan though since he spent his time in the deep end mostly underwater with some boys.
Finally, we ended the day with a movie on the beach in Ocean City.
Today we are sticking to the house for the morning while all the tourists stake out their places on the beach and fill our roads with their cars. This afternoon we have our annual picnic at my friend's parents house where there is always an abundance of food and Jell-O shooters. Then tonight, fireworks on the beach!
Tomorrow the fun continues with a trip to the local Farmer's Market, I learned my lesson and last week and will be there early for the blueberries and peaches, hanging out with the family, and a bbq at my inlaws.
It's a fun filled weekend for sure.
Hope you have a rockin 4th as well.
Don't forget to take time to say a prayer or send a quiet thought of thanks to the men and women who serve our country every day so that we can celebrate freely with our families. If you see them out and about today tell them how much you appreciate all they do!
Thank You to all our armed forces and their families,
including my brother and his!
Looks like a lot of fun! I might talk dd into seeing what our city has lined up for today. I'm hoping for some funnel cake!ReplyDelete
My original plan was to fire up our firepit and watch the firework show from there...I sure hope the weather holds out...we're expecting more rain.
Have had a great start to a wonderful weekend! Glad your enjoying yourself! I am off in a bit to a family BBQ with my In laws! Hopefully hubby can get out in time to join us for fireworks tonight. Have a great weekend and a big Thank You to your brother and his family as well to all the others who fight for our freedom!ReplyDelete
