If you have been following me for awhile you know that in January 2007 I joined Weight Watchers in an effort to lose some fat.
Here's my story.
I went back and forth whether or not I would share my journey on my blog, but in February 07 decided to finally talk about it.
By March I had lost 20lb, was exercising regularly and feeling pretty darn proud of how well I was doing. After a few ups and downs I finally lost 10 more to make my total over 30lb by July. I then got stuck in a rut until after the school year began where I jumped back into losing mode by counting the points and doing all the right stuff and made it in the 140's! Finally, in October I recorded my 40lb loss. By Thanksgiving 07 I was down to 140, but then the holidays came around and in January I was up 7.5lb. (I heard that groan...thanks for the sympathy!). I am happy to say that I did end up getting most of it off, but then got stuck in a rut losing a half pound this week, gaining it the next week, losing, gaining, it was a never ending cycle. I wasn't getting anywhere.
I became very frustrated with myself. Over the summer I relaxed more on the points if that was really possible and even discontinued my Weight Watchers memberships because I wasn't seeing any results. I am sure you could probably guess that my end of summer results were not good. When I returned to school in August I decided that I had to rejoin if I was going to get these final pounds off. Sadly, however, I casually counted, didn't follow all the good health guidelines from Weight Watchers and while I lost a pound or two here and there, I also gained a pound here and there so nothing much happened. I even tried an online weight loss challenge and after posting my before and after pictures still didn't seem to be getting anywhere. Basically, I had become one of them.
Which brings us pretty much to where we are today. Once again the holidays have rolled around and guess what...I enjoyed them a Christmas cookie at a time with my waistline showing it.
BUT...I'm back, I'm ready, I'm committed, I'm going to make my final weight goal, I'm doing it today!!
