One of the things that Dave and I enjoyed doing before we had kids was playing mini golf. At that time we lived around Baltimore and would come over to the beach for weekends. We loved going to a new course and trying to beat the pants off each other. So what if Dave always kicked my butt, it was fun, right? When we had Dylan he learned early how to hold his own on the mini golf course and he would always beg for us to take him to play. Then somewhere along the way of life we stopped going as often. I digress.
This past Tuesday we decided to play some mini-golf on a safari course. The kids loved all the wild animals scattered around. Dylan had fun, but Zoe was a bit bored after the first hole and then complained she was hot the other 17. Dave won, anybody surprised, and I just enjoyed spending the time with the family.
I am so happy that I am a teacher and have summer vacation too. I enjoy being able to spend so much time with the kids just having fun. Family Rawks!!
It looks like a blast!
ReplyDeleteOh now I want ot go drive go carts!! Golf with my two sounds like torture to me but give me a seat belt on them and I can really have some fun!
ReplyDeleteWow, to just be able to do all that close to home--you're so lucky!
ReplyDeleteHey it's your blogstalkers. I'm glad you guys get to spend quality family time together. You deserve great happiness, because the old saying what goes around comes around is true. You and your family bring sunshine to all that you meet.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures Mel - they really do show how much fun you all had. Why didn't I become a teacher when I grew up. Summers off are sooo much more fun than sitting in meetings all day!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my URL has changed. Its now http://ssmomof4.blogspot.com/ I had a few tech difficulties, but am back up now.
Mel, that sounds like an awesome day! I grew up in MD and OC was our fave beach spot. Now that I'm a PA gal, we head out to Sea Isle. I bet having the summer off is a wonderful treat...great way to have oodles of time with the kids!
