Anyways, I had the privilege of meeting Jo-Lynne in real life at the Philly Blog Meet-up on Friday. She looked absolutely perfect in a beautiful green shirt (I am totally into the summer green that is out this season!!) and dressy jeans. A true fashionista!
Now if you read about my adventures to Philly on Friday you may take note that I was originally hoping to be early so I could pop into Target. What I didn't say was that my hope was to find a new cute purse to go with the dress I wore that night. Why did I want a new purse? Well, all I could think about was how when I first started reading Musings Jo-Lynne had commented how she couldn't stand it when people carried purses that had patterns (Vera Bradley) that completely clashed with their outfits. I didn't want to be her next fashion disaster now did I?? But of course, traffic had a different story so I never made it to target and showed up with this...
while wearing this...
and this is what it looked like...
As I was telling Jo-Lynne all of this after dinner she, being the wonderfully nice person that she is, told me they were both beautiful patterns!!
Well thank you Jo-Lynne, but honestly it is okay if you then finished the sentence in your head...but just not when they are worn together!!!
Thank you Musings for trying to keep us Mommy Bloggers on the fashion runway or at least not being under it!!
LMAO! You are hilarious. And I swear on my grandma's grave that I didn't even notice your clashing patterns until you pointed it out. I'm sure it was only a matter of time, lol, but as you can see, my finickiness is generally more geared to my OWN attire than someone else's.
ReplyDeleteI had SO much fun meeting you and can't wait to do it again.
I love that dress! The pattern on the purse is fabulous, too. I usually stick to solid colored purses and patterns on bags that I carry for weekends and the like.
ReplyDeleteBut, that is just me...
My purse is silver to match my hair.
ReplyDeleteI agree! Sometimes not matching is the best form of matching! : )

I guess I didn't realize Jo-Lynn was such a fashionista! I should have hidden my navy shoes with black pants that looked navy in my dark closet. :)
ReplyDeleteVery cute post and I'm usually not a huge fan of Vera Bradley (probably because my mom's 200 purses has thrown me off a bit) but I LOVE that pattern.
Nice to meet you last Friday! I had a great time.
Ha! I didn't see that post of hers and I totally committed that faux pas that night. Whoopsies!
ReplyDeleteI think they are both fabulous! Purse and dress!
ReplyDeleteBeing a Mom....you are just lucky you got out of the house in that dress unscathed!
ReplyDeleteBut both are great!
