Weighing In

Today is weigh in at Tales from the Scales, so how did I do this week?? I MADE MY 40 POUND GOAL!! I lost 1 lb this week taking my total weight loss to 40 pounds since January. I am so proud of myself for sticking with it and aboslutely love seeing the results of my hard work. Everyday it seems somebody is commenting on how great I look which is a huge motivator and of course buying smaller sizes in clothing goes a long way for motivation too. When signing up for Weight Watchers, I orginially set 125 as my goal weight which would mean I have 20 more pounds to go. Now that I am comfortably wearing 8 and some 6's I am thinking maybe my goal weight is too low. I want to at least make 130 though and keep a 5 pound flex range so I guess I'll just see what happens as I lose a few more pounds. What do you all think? I am about 5'3"...what would you think is a healthy weight range?

So although I am celebrating I realize I still have many pounds in front of me. I need to buckle down too because I have a feeling that these last few pounds may become trickier to get off. The first thing I need to do is get rid of that yummy strawberry cake that is hanging around from Zoe's birthday party considering I have had a small piece every night this week!! I also need to put on my comfy Nike's and get walking. Now that my shows are back on, I am telling myself that in order for me to watch a show I must walk and watch. Adding those fruits and veggies are also high on my priority list!

WEEK 39 / -1lb - 40lb
Goal: Walk at least 45 minutes during Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, and Desperate Housewives!! Eat at least 1 fruit or veggie for every meal and for one snack!

  1. YAY! 40 pounds gone is fabulous, congrats!! I think you should set your goal weight where you'll be comfortable.

  2. wow, 40lbs is tremendous. Also, good for you forthinking about how clothes fit and hoe you feel, rather than getting hung up about a number on a scale.

  3. Wow, congrats on great progress! Sounds like you are getting to the point where you are comfortable with your size, so I would figure out what weight you'd be comfortable with, too. Sometimes our perception gets a little skewed. :-)
