Here is to never having to talk potty again!!!

By golly, I think she's got it! Since I made you endure our potty adventures here and here, I thought it may be nice to share some success with you too. Zoe has been doing a fantastic job with her potty training...FINALLY!! She hasn't had any wet accidents in a few days (we won't discuss the dirty panties - see below) and even stayed dry during the 2 1/2 hour drive to my parents yesterday. Daddy drove her and he said she told him she had to go potty and held it until he could find an exit! She is doing a great job telling people when she has to go or running in to go by herself. Now while she has been great at the peeing, the other has not been as great. I have thrown out many panties from the last few days because I refuse to wash them out. However, tonight was the first night that she finally pooed in the potty and boy was she proud of herself. Of course I also screamed, danced, clapped, and added like a freak! Tomorrow we will be buying one heck of a toy I tell you cause I am all about bribery!! I am so excited about this and even more excited that I will NEVER have to potty train another child (unless of course God has a BIG surprise in store for us). Thank you to those who have hung in there with me as I have released my frustration during this incredibly trying time.

Yea Zoe!! Wahoo! Go Mommy, it's your birthday!ReplyDelete
Thank God that is all over eh?
I can't wait to be diaper free...
My son was dry at night long before he was day-time dry. He took to peeing by himself well, but just wouldn't stop messing his pants. We were shopping and he saw a 7" basketball and I told him he had to go a week without messing his pants and he could have it. He did it and got the basketball and hoop to go with it! With my daughter it was clothes for her dollies. I am a firm believer in bribery--it works every time.ReplyDelete
Way to go Zoe! And I'm happy for you, mommyReplyDelete
